Mrs. Ruth B. Washington, age, 97, of Carrollton, Georgia, beloved mother and grandmother went to heaven Sunday, October 6, 2013 to be with her savior. Mrs. Washington was born in Wedowee, AL on July 27, 1916, the daughter of the late George Bradley and Verna Adcock Bradley. Mrs. Washington was a homemaker and member of the Carrollton First Christian Church. Survivors include her son, Don Washington and granddaughter and her husband, Suzanne and Bobby Hudson all of Carrollton. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Daucia Bailey "Dock" Washington; son, Tony Michael Washington; daughter-in-law, Rosalind Washington; sisters, Nadine Smith, Winnie Washington; brothers, Findley Bradley, Billy Bradley and Thomas Bradley. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 9 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Min. Randy Barnhart and Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating. Pallbearers will be Bruce MacPherson, Doug MacPherson, Alan MacPherson and Bill Nix. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will be in Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Wedowee, AL.
