Mr. William Steve Styles, age 73, of Waco, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024. Born in Carroll County, Georgia, on May 8, 1951, he was the son of the late William Ragan Styles and Imogene Knowles Styles.
Steve attended Mt. Zion High School and later obtained a machinist degree from Carroll Tech. Shortly after graduating, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country. Following his service, Steve found a passion for woodworking, becoming a talented and self-employed woodworker. He crafted a variety of items, including tables, cedar chests, and even animal coffins for a Humane Society in Alabama. In addition to his love for woodworking, Steve had a knack for plumbing, electrical work, and repairing both small and heavy equipment engines.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Cash; his sister and brother-in-law, Kay and James Heard; and his nieces and their spouses, Casie and John Hembree, and Crystal and Andrew Lovvorn. Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11 AM at Indian Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Shane Knowles officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #143.
