Mr. Stephen Wayne Kitchens, age 78, of Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Born July 10, 1947, in Jackson, GA he was the son of the late James Brantley "JB" Kitchens and Elizabeth Polk Kitchens. Mr. Kitchens was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company, where he worked on the assembly line for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Kitchens was devoted to his family and will be remembered for his love, dedication, and faithful service to those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Leigh Anne Kitchens; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen Dale Kitchens (Jennifer) and Christopher Blake Kitchens (BreAnna); daughter and son-in-law, Terri Lynn Cook (David); grandchildren, Austin, Maci, Kalee, Brantley, Nora, Millie, and Lottie; and great-grandchildren, Riggs, Emerson, Crew, and Everleigh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Beth Kitchens, and brother, James Dennis Kitchens.

A graveside service and interment will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, 151 Macedonia Church Rd., Jackson, GA., with Pastor Greg Cochran officiating. Military honors provided by US Air Force.
