Mr. Watson Eugene Hester, age 90, of Winston, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026.

Watson was born on December 31, 1935, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Watson James Hester and Mertes Hester.

For 54 years, Watson worked as a self-employed brick mason. He took great pride in his work and in the many years he spent building and providing for his family. He was also a member of the Alpharetta Masonic Lodge.

Watson had a love for dirt track racing and enjoyed working on and collecting antique cars. He and Caroleen were also longtime members of a camping club, where they enjoyed making memories and sharing good times with friends.

Watson will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Anita Morgan; his son, Johnny Hester; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Besides his parents, Watson was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 71 years, Caroleen Maggie Sue Hester; his son Michael Eugene Hester, and his daughter Eugenia Ann Hester.

Watson lived a long and meaningful life, leaving behind memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

No formal funeral services are planned at this time. The family appreciates the love, and support shown to them during this time of loss.
