Obituary

Mr. Tommy Dorsey Kidd, age 78, of Bremen, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Born on October 13, 1947, in Carroll County, Georgia, son of the late Chief of Police Dorsey Kidd and Gladys Barrett Kidd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita Aline Entrekin Kidd, and his brother, Charles "Chuck" B. Kidd.

Tommy will be remembered for the love he had for his family. His bond with his wife, Bonnie was one of true partnership and devotion. Tommy was a proud and loving grandfather who found so much happiness in his grandchildren.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served six years during the Vietnam War era and earned a sharpshooter medal for his service. He worked as an archaeologist and later as a job counselor in Carroll County for adults with special needs.

Tommy enjoyed Civil War History, listening to favorite music, collecting artifacts, fossils, rare gems, and fine art. He loved cheering on the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and Carrollton Trojans! Tommy especially treasured time spent with his lifelong friends, affectionately known as "The Okefenokee Yacht Club."

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Patrick Moore of Bryson City, NC., and Karen and Mark Loveless of Bremen; grandchildren, Taylor (Patrick) Loveless Campbell, Brandon (Jackie) League, Madison (Mick) Driver, Daniel Moore, and Chason Moore; great-grandchildren, Weston, Bradley, Henry and Carson; nephew, Barrett (Andrea) Kidd of Acworth, GA; great niece, Abbigael Kidd and great nephew, Micah Kidd.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7 PM at Almon Funeral Home.

A private family inurnment will be held at Bowdon First United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
