Obituary

Thelma Marie Bianco, of Carrollton, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. She was born on October 19, 1957, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Walter John Trojan and Anna Rose Trojan.

Thelma grew up in New Chicago and attended River Forest High School. She later continued her education at Indiana Vocational College, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree.

She went on to marry her husband, Mark Bianco, and they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage together. Thelma was a homemaker, though she often liked to say she was a "domestic engineer," a title she carried with pride.

Thelma had a deep love for flowers and her dogs. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and watching the Atlanta Braves. More than anything, however, she cherished watching her son, Trent, play baseball.

After moving to Carrollton, she attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, where she found a welcoming faith community.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Mark Bianco; son and daughter-in-law, Trent and Courtney Bianco; grandson, Brooks Bianco; sister Theresa McKenna; and numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tim and Tom Trojan.

The family will hold a service to honor her memory at a later date in Indiana.
