Terry Franklin Capes, 74, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on March 26, 2026. Born on June 29, 1951, in Carrollton, he was the son of the late Frank and Hazel Capes.

Terry was a proud graduate of Carrollton High School, where he played varsity football and remained an avid Trojan fan throughout his life. A talented musician and drummer, Terry dedicated his career to music. He worked at Ballew's Music, where he shared his passion by giving drum lessons. Over the years, he played with numerous bands across the Southeast, most recently performing with "Minimum Wage."

He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Capes Myers; brother, Frankie Capes (Peggy); grandchildren, Abby Myers and Andi Myers; three great-grandchildren; as well as one niece and one nephew. He is also survived by Margie A. Faulkner, the mother of his daughter. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his son-in-law, Matt Myers; and an infant grandson, Noah Myers.

A private family graveside service will be held at Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton, Georgia, with Reverend Bill Grissett officiating.
