Steven "Dale" Parker, age 61, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Born on March 3, 1965, in Carrollton, Dale was the son of Gelene Denney North and the late Winford Wayne Parker. A master millwright with Local Union 72, Dale was known for his strong work ethic and remarkable ability to fix or build just about anything. He had a natural talent for tinkering and problem-solving—if Dale couldn't fix it, it likely couldn't be fixed. If the hardware store didn't have what you needed, chances are Dale already did.

Dale was a simple man who found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing, and in working with his hands. He had attended Oak Grove Baptist Church and was known for his dependable spirit, and willingness to help others whenever needed.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Gelene and Ray North; his brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Lisa Parker; his sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Charles Green; his bonus daughter, Devin Mashburn; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish his memory. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jean Duke, maternal grandparents, Howard and Myra Denney and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Peeples officiating and Devin Mashburn delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.

Interment will follow at Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David McCracken officiating.

Serving as pallbearers are Ben Parker, Avery Dougherty, Derick Matthews, David Denney, Mason Denney, and Jody Denney.
