Steve Anthony Muse, age 72, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was born on June 30, 1953, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late Loy Muse and Lillian Frazier Muse.

A proud veteran, Steve honorably retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of dedicated service in the United States Army. Throughout his distinguished military career, he received numerous commendations, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. He also earned the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral II, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon, as well as the Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar, Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Pistol Bar, Master Aircraft Crewman Badge, and Senior Aircraft Crewman Badge. After his military service, Steve retired from the City of Bremen where he worked as Building Inspector.

Steve had a deep love for the simple joys in life. He was an avid fisherman, a loyal Georgia Bulldogs fan, and a lifelong baseball enthusiast. He especially enjoyed antiquing alongside his beloved wife, Sharon Muse, with whom he shared many cherished memories.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Muse; daughter, Alicia Lugo and her partner, Daniel Coulter; son-in-law, Billy Lockwood; grandchildren, Emma Lugo, Reese Lugo, Benjamin Lockwood; and sister, Janie Kilgore. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Lockwood; and siblings, Harvey Dixon, Jimmy Muse, Charles Muse, David Muse, Johnny Muse, Mark Muse, Mike Muse, and Susan McGuire.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 12:00 noon until 2pm. The funeral service will follow the visitation in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Chief Keith Pesnell officiating. The U.S. Army will provide full military honors.

Honorary pallbearers will include Mike Thompson, Keith Webb, Sam Horton, Jimmy Burton, Mark Muse, and Tim Thompson.
