Sherie
Loehr
Oct 18, 1958 — Nov 12, 2025
Sherie Loehr, 67, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed peacefully in her sleep on November 12, 2025, wrapped in the same love and serenity she shared with the world. Born on October 18, 1958, to Ted and Theresa Holder, who preceded her in death, Sherie spent her life dancing to the rhythm of kindness, music, and nature.
She had a green thumb and a golden heart, finding magic in the bloom of a flower, the strum of a guitar, and the laughter of those she loved. She believed in peace, love, and happiness; not as ideas, but as a way of life. Her gentle spirit and bright smile lit up every space she entered, and her compassion had a way of making strangers feel like old friends. She loved God deeply, often reading her Bible with the same quiet joy she brought to everything in her path, more often than not with Jimi Hendrix playing softly in the background, a reflection of the beautiful balance she carried between spirit and soul.
Sherie is survived by her son Justin Shaw of Villa Rica and his children Mattie Smelser (and her children Baylor, Rone and Miller) and Avery Shaw; and by her daughter Crystall Hambrick of Acworth, her husband Brian, and their children JT, Brooke, Zach, Brady, and Carly, whom Sherie lovingly welcomed as part of her family. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Paffy Beckett and husband Ken, Wanda Walker, Sheila Kinney and husband Rick, Herbie Holder, and Carrie Maxwell and husband Shane, along with a joyful tribe of nieces, nephews, and family who will keep her spirit blooming.
Her life was a garden of compassion and creativity. Whether tending to her plants, sharing a song, or simply listening with her whole heart, Sherie reminded everyone to slow down, breathe deeply, and see the beauty in the ordinary.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share laughter, stories, and song. Memories and tributes may be shared at SherieLoehr.com.
"Peace, love, and happiness were her way of life. Her spirit still dances in every breeze and blossoms in every heart she touched."
