Ms. Shelia Inez Bonner, age 60, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2023. She was born in Carrollton, Georgia on April 12, 1963, the daughter of Inez Richardson and the late Doyal Shope, Sr.

Shelia's greatest joy came from praising and worshipping God at Freedom Point Church where she was an active member. She loved spending time with her family whether it was seeing everyone at family reunions, holiday gatherings, sharing a meal with her son and granddaughters or a day out shopping with her mother. She also loved dancing to a good band with her friends.

She was a loving mother to her son, James Wingo and her late son, Pastor Ivan Lee Shope; an amazing grandmother to her grandchildren, Kylie Wimpey, Katlyn Wingo, Emma Warren, Juliet Wingo; and a wonderful daughter to her mother, Inez Richardson; brothers, Doyal Shope, Jr., Bobby Shope; sister, Shermaine Jones.  In addition to her father and son she was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Shope.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Freedom Point Church with the funeral service following at 3 pm with Pastor Jason White officiating.

Interment will be at Carroll Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Bobby Shope, Jr., Reed Shope, Jesse Morrow, Bobby Joe Thomas, Ben Kilgore, Bryan Kilgore and Jonathon Holtzclaw.
