Mrs. Sandra Ellen Young Harlin age 83, of Bowdon, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

Mrs. Harlin was born on January 27,1941 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Thomas Huel Young and Mary Helen Patterson Young. She was a retired para-pro with the Carroll County School System. She was a member of the Sew-N-Sews Craft club and Bowdon Church of Christ. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking for her family and her church.

Survivors include her daughters; Gayle Brown, Lori Harlin(Bill Weeks), Melinda Harlin; grandchildren, Emily and Joseph Massey, Amy and Joe Douglas, Allison and Richard Firth, Tommy Nunis, Aidan Astin, Molly Astin; sister, Jill Young Russell (Winfred) and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Wayne Harlin and a brother Tommy Young.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 3:30 pm from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Min. Josh Posey officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 2:30 until the service hour.

Pallbearers will be Richard Firth, Aidan Astin, Winfred Russell, Joseph Massey, Donnie Truett and Bud Benefield.

Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
