Rosalyn Lois Virginia Poole, age 87, of Temple, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025.

She was born on August 18, 1938, in Jasper, Georgia, to the late Paul Jefferson Cantrell and Corrie Alice King Cantrell.

Rosalyn worked in retail and was of the Baptist faith. She lived a life grounded in love, family, and faith.

She found great happiness in feeding and watching birds, spending time in her yard, and most of all, being surrounded by her family. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughters and son-in-law, Loretta Jo Hite (James) and Maria Beth Poole; grandsons, Richard Gene Evans and Edward Paul Dean; great-grandchildren, Tristan Evans, Trinity Evans, Tanner Evans, Phallon Evans, Alex Higgins, Joseph Higgins, Kyle Dean, and Treylan Dean; and great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Laykin McGinnis, and Alivia Williams. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Helen Bannister, along with several cherished nieces and nephews.

Rosalyn was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home in Carrollton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service.
