Mrs. Rosa B. Vergara, age 88, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Born on January 25, 1938, in Curepto, Chile, she was the daughter of the late Omar Valenzuela and Maria Georgina Guerrero Avendanò. Rosa devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker. She also worked for 15 years at Central High School and at Lazy Donkey Restaurant, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind spirit.

Rosa was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and found great comfort and joy in her faith, family, and community.

She is survived by her son and daughter and law, Sergio A. Vergara, Jr. (Loyla M.); her daughter, Mirtha R. Vergara; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Parrish and Natalie Hawkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sergio Hugo Vergara Veron and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 6 pm until 8 pm at Almon Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 12 noon at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Joe Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery.
