Mr. Ronnie Russell Jones, Sr., age 38 of Carrollton Villa Rica Hwy, Carrollton died Thursday, December 3, 2009. Ronnie was born in Carroll County on December 21, 1970, the son of Wilburn A. Jones and Dorothy Mae Gore Jones. He attended the Pentecostal Church and was an avid Alabama fan. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Wilburn A. and Dale Jones of Temple; mother, Dorothy G. Jones of Carrollton; wife, Stephanie B. Jones; sons, Ronnie Russell Jones, Jr., of Carrollton, Toby Richard Jones of Shelby, North Carolina; daughters, April Lynn Jones of Smyrna, Angel Mae Gayle Jones of Shelby, North Carolina, Chloe Leann Jones of Villa Rica, Brittany Jeannette Jones of Carrollton; step-children, Taylor Jackson, Jonathon Burdick, Madison Sharp; grandchildren, Jesse Shope, Caden Shope, Bailey Burdick; brothers, Michael Jones of Carrollton, Tim Jones of Fruithurst, Alabama, Rodney Emory of Carrollton; sisters, Kim Fortner of Carrollton, Becky Jones of Temple, Rhonda Rainwater of Tallapoosa; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Truman and Geraldine Jones; maternal grandparents, Troy and Vera Mae Gore and a son, Elijah Jacob Jones. Funeral service will be Monday, December 7 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Gore officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Jones, Tyler Jones, Joel Burdick, Johnny Sims, Donald Maxwell and Matthew Hines. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens with Rev. David Gray officiating.
