Mr. Ronald D. Meigs, 62, of Bowdon, GA passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011. Mr. Meigs was born in Carroll County on February 11, 1949, the son of Kermit Bill Meigs and Ollie Mae Smith Meigs. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era serving in the 199th Light Infantry. He was a retired office manager and member of Lee's Chapel. Survivors include his wife, Judy C. Meigs, daughters and son-in-laws, Jennifer and Jason Finnell of Carrollton, Heather and Scott Shelton of Fayetteville, step daughter, Marsha Sullivan of Carrollton, brothers and sister-in-laws, Jerome and Elaine Meigs of Grantville, Randy and Sandra Meigs, David and Brenda Meigs, sister, Brenda L. Hudson all of Carrollton, grandchildren, Julie Diane Meigs, Brittany Leigh Fielder, Cheyenne Corie Hamilton, Chandler Wayne Sullivan, Kelly Susan Sullivan, Brody Scott Shelton, Evan Anthony Sullivan, and Rachel Cree Finnell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jessie Monroe Meigs and Donald E. Meigs. Memorial services will be Sunday, June 5 at 12 noon at 135 Indian Run, Bowdon.
