Mr. Robert Ramsey Sullivan, age 67, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015. He was born in Gallatin, Tennessee on April 11, 1947, the son of the late Francis and Amelia Sullivan. He graduated from Carrollton High School in 1965 where he was on two Trojan State Championship football teams and was an All State Running Back his senior year. Bobby was a graduate of Southern Technical Institute and University of West Georgia. Bobby was a veteran of the US Air Force Reserves. His marketing and management skills served him well where he spent his entire 38 year career with Southwire Company as a Sales Executive. He was a three million miler with Delta Airlines, traveling the US and 20 foreign countries for Southwire. His unparalled compassionate leadership style has left an indelible mark on those with whom he worked. He was a sports enthusiast in the biggest way. A lifelong member of First Methodist Church, a member of the "Trojan Hall of Fame" two time President of Trojan Athletic Booster Club and served on Sunset Hills Country Club Board of Directors. His greatest joy was his family. A loving husband, father, grandfather, Bobby lived every moment of his life with uncompromised integrity, honor and reverence for others. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, his high school sweetheart, his soul mate and love of his life, Nancy Beckham Sullivan; sons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Donna Sullivan, Swede and Meghan Sullivan; grandchildren, Austin, Tucker, Savannah, Chael and Ramsey Sullivan; brothers and sisters, Dottie and William Hamrick, Jimmy and Elaine Sullivan, Eddie Sullivan, Tommy and Sally Sullivan and Sally and Keith Smith. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gene Beckham. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. A service celebrating the abundant life of Bobby Sullivan will be held Friday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at the Carrollton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Greer and Dr. Steve Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Pister, Richard Davis, John Burnham, Mack Skinner, Joe Street, Randall Parian, Dr. Ralph Fleck and Randy Almon.
