Mr. Ricky Drise Watson, age 67, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Born on April 8, 1959, Ricky was the son of the late Thomas Edmond Watson, Sr. and Edith Elizabeth Abbott Watson. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent many years as a mechanic with Watson Automotive before later serving in maintenance with the Carrollton Housing Authority.

Ricky's greatest joy in life was his family. He treasured every moment spent with his beloved wife, Mary, his daughter, and his grandchildren. Whether it was sharing stories, spending time together at home, or creating lasting memories, his family always came first.

An avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, Ricky and Mary enjoyed traveling together across the United States, making countless memories along the open road. He was also an exceptionally talented woodworker whose craftsmanship could be seen throughout the home he lovingly renovated alongside Mary, as well as in the home of their daughter, Kristy. His ability to build, repair, and create reflected both his skill and his generous heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Baskin Watson; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristy Watson Mobley and Shawn Mobley; his cherished grandchildren, Destiny Smith and Remington Mobley; his sister and brother-in-law, Debra Watson and Mito Valle-Gomez; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Watson, Jr. and Danelia Watson; his mother-in-law, Patsy Boatright Baskin; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Wendy Baskin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will greatly miss him.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doyal Watson and father-in-law, Fred Baskin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Almon Chapel with Rev. Kenny Husby officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Baskin, Brandon Sprewell, Roy Sprewell, Dean Maddox, Tim Watson, and Scott Youngblood.  Honorary pallbearers will be Don Jones and Tony Hughes.

Interment will follow in the Baskin Family Cemetery.
