Mr. Reid William Walker, age 88 of Ranburne, Alabama died Saturday, June 13, 2020. Mr. Walker was born in Hightower, Alabama on May 13, 1932, the son of the late Aaron Walker and Essie Pollard Walker Whitley. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy, retired manager of hardware store and attended Campground United Methodist Church in Graham, Alabama. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis Walker (Danny) Mitchell of Conyers, Georgia, Gail Walker (Allen) Skinner of Laceys Spring, Alabama, Jennifer Walker of Ranburne, Alabama; grandchildren, Christopher Mitchell, Elizabeth (Scott) Craig, Nicholas Mitchell, Ryan Skinner; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Spruill of Carrollton, Fern (Reid) Skinner of Greenwood, South Carolina. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Noles Walker and brothers, Wallace Walker, Alton Whitley, J.C. Whitley and Ben Whitley. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 16 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Wiggins officiating. Interment will be in Cleburne County Memory Gardens in Ranburne, Alabama.
