Mrs. Phyllis "Pete" Ann Dunagan age 89 of Carrollton, formerly of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Mrs. Dunagan was born on August 29, 1932, in Bluefield, West Virginia. She was the second born out of ten children. She married Parks Andrew Dunagan in April 1954, and bore 3 children, Edward, Steve and Joy. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and home-keeper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parks Andrew and eldest son, Edward Parks.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Teresa Dunagan of Carrollton, Georgia; daughter, Joy Dunagan of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-in-law Jill Dunagan of Carrollton, Georgia; sisters, Kristine Taylor of Elkview, West Virginia., Linda Lou Cooper of Nieco, West Virginia, Eva Mae McGinnes of Cleveland, West Virginia; grandchildren, Courtney Cook, Megan Dunagan of Carrollton, Georgia, Andrew Dunagan of Bartow, Florida, Lindsay Dunagan of Lebanon, Tennessee, Kelli Dunagan of Chattanooga, Tennessee and several great-grandchildren.
In accordance with her family's wishes, her body has been cremated and no memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 41 Perimeter Center E, #550, Atlanta, Georgia 30346, to fund future research.
The family would like to extend their heart-felt appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Carrollton Manor Nursing Home for their excellent care and service provided to their loved one over the past ten years.
