Phillip "Phil" Shelby Tully, Jr., 77, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. Born on January 26, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, Phil was the son of the late Phillip Shelby Tully, Sr., and Earline Hutcheson Tully.

A graduate of Livingston University, Phil dedicated his career to helping others as an insurance adjuster retiring from CNA Insurance. He was a faithful member of Roopville Road Baptist Church, and his deep commitment to serving others was evident in his multiple mission endeavors along with the development of and leadership with West Georgia Family Ministries.

Phil loved sports and the outdoors. He spent much of his time fishing and hunting and loved sharing this passion with his family and friends. In his younger years, he was a talented professional water skier.

Phil will be remembered for his faith, generosity, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Dian Tully; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Tully (Jason) Colquitt; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip Shelby (Ashley) Tully, III; and son and daughter-in-law, Steven Randal (Caanan) Tully; along with his grandchildren, Brianna Colquitt, Mallorie Colquitt, Brantley Colquitt, Lillian Colquitt, Ansley Tully, Marley Tully, Shelby Tully, Hutch Tully, Jack Tully, Sam Tully, and Nathan Tully. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Manning.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Roopville Road Baptist Church, with visitation preceding the service also at Roopville Road Baptist Church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Interment will be in Roopville Road Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Colquitt, Brantley Colquitt, Ronnie Langner, Austin Langner, Andrew Ray, Barney Flanders, Steve Kittredge, and Steve Chandler.
