Mr. Philip Alan Whiting, age 84, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on January 19, 1940 the son of the late Kenneth Edward Whiting and Helen Hedrick Whiting.

Mr. Whiting was a retired Regional Sales Manager for Raybestos Corporation, and had previously owned and operated the Smokin' Chicken in Whitesburg. He served his country in the U.S. Army, attended Living by Faith Church in Newnan and was an avid Nascar fan.

He is survived by his children, Brenda Payne, Phil Whiting, Dawn Whiting, Anthony Whiting; grandson, Jason Willard; step-daughter, Sonya Tucker; step-granddaughter, Rachel Tucker. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Paul, Richard, Ronald and Linda.
