We are celebrating and remembering the life of Mrs. Peggy Ann Bergstrom, who passed away in the arms of her husband, Dr. John P. Bergstrom, early Wednesday morning, 10/19/11. Peggy will always be remembered for her love of family, friends, and her music. Peggy was born in St. Genevieve, MO on Nov. 4, 1939, and started piano lessons at the age of 5. Her talent was appreciated, as she played piano for her church for many years, and was often requested for holiday services and weddings. She also a member of the bell choir, and sang in the choir. But most of all, she loved her time as a pianist for the Youth Choir at the First United Methodist Church. Peggy was a dedicated wife and hard-working business woman, serving the community alongside her husband full-time as office manager for more than 25 years. She was very active in her sons' activities as she raised them, often known as Den mother, Team Mom, and substitute teacher. Peggy loved her grandchildren with all her heart, and spent much of her time through the years helping raise them, too. She was an active member of her Agape Sunday School class, Supper and Garden Clubs. She was also the proud owner of the famous "Pebby's Pig Patrol" collection. Peggy is survived by her husband, Dr. John P. Bergstrom, her two sons, John Parks Bergstrom and Robert M. Bergstrom, and 8 grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, her body was cremated. Memorial services will be held at the Carrollton First United Methodist Church, Friday 10/21 at 1 pm, with Dr. Dean Milford and Rev. Gerry Davis officiating. The Agape Sunday School Class will be represented as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends in the Gathering Room at the church following the services. In lieu of flowers, the Bergstrom family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church's Music Ministry at 206 Newnan Street, Carrollton, GA 30117. Peggy will be missed by all who knew her, but we celebrate that she is finally able to play her music directly to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
