Paul Kenneth Wilson age 41, of Athens Ga, passed away April 29th, 2014 at Temple Park Convalescence Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. Paul was born in East Point, GA on May 21st, 1972, the son of Gilda and Kenneth Wilson. He was a member of Our Hope Metropolitan Community Church in Athens, GA. Paul had a sincere love of music and was a DJ under the name of APPLEPAUL. Paul volunteered regularly at AIDS Athens, AIDS Atlanta, and Positive Response, Inc in Carrollton, GA. He also served on several committees. Paul fought passionately for the rights of all in the GLBT community. Paul was a musician, artist, and humanitarian. He touched the hearts of many. Survivors include parents, Gilda and Kenneth Wilson, sister and brother-in-law, Shannon and Shawn Waldroup, niece, Ashlyn Waldroup, nephews Nathan and Jackson Waldroup, cousins, Jody Efrid, Lisa Mcnutt, Dani Andrews, Ricky Andrews and Mason Gorham, Grandfather Henry Gorham, several Aunts and Uncles, and of course his beloved Schnoodle, Noodles. He was preceded in death by Grandparents, Dot Gorham, and Doris and Earnest Wilson. Funeral Services will be May, 5th 2014 at 2:00 at Almon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Renee DuBose officiating. The family will receive guests from 12:00-2:00. Pallbearers will be Shawn Waldroup, Greg Owen, Gavin Mcnutt, Nathan Waldroup, Jody Efrid, and Mark Cooper.
