Obituary

Mr. Paul Grant Cooper, 80, of Carrollton, GA passed away Monday, March 4, 2013. Mr. Cooper was born in Vienna, GA on November 7, 1932, the son of the late Robert Hill Cooper and Estelle Springer Cooper. He was the President of Architectural Contractors , Inc., President of Carroll County Farm Bureau, and founder of the Country Times Band. Also, he was a member of Oak Mt. Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. Survivors include his wife, Monzelle C. Cooper; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Bonnie Cooper, Alan and Debra Cooper all of Carrollton; grandchildren, Susan Westendorf, Pamela Cooper, Catherine Cooper, Robert Cooper, and Ryan C. Barnett; great grandchildren, Lucie Barden and Kara Grace Barnett; sister, Margaret Page of Hartselle, AL; nieces and their husbands, Cindy and Richard Marsh, Priscilla and Jimmy Adams, and Diane and Jim Snell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bernice Walters. Funeral services will be Friday, March 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Rob Cooper, Ryan Barnett, Bruce Cook, Kim Cook, Jerry Wood, and George Chambers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church, 402 Oak Mountain Road, Carrollton, GA 30116 or Neva Lomason Memorial Library, 710 Rome Street, Carrollton, GA 30117.
