JoAnn Veal

Mrs. Patricia JoAnn Massey Veal, of Temple, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on May 5, 1946, in Haralson County, Georgia, JoAnn was the daughter of the late Everett Massey and Lois Gilbert Massey. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gene Massey and sister, Peggy Smith.

JoAnn was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent many years employed with Sewell Manufacturing and Sony before retiring after serving as a paraprofessional with the Carroll County School System. She found great joy in helping students and took pride in making a positive difference in the lives of those around her.

A faithful member of First Christian Church, JoAnn was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She treasured the time spent with those she loved and will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring nature, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Veal; step son, Paul Veal; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Patricia Veal; her sisters-in-law, Leah Veal and Dianne Eason; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends who will cherish her memory.
