Mrs. Patricia Moon Sharpless, age 80 of Lee Place, Villa Rica, Georgia died Sunday, June 13, 2010. Mrs. Sharpless was born October 21, 1929 the daughter of the late Ashby Benjamin Moon and Mable Randall Moon Bush. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Retired LTC Robert James Sharpless, Sr. and a loving mother to her four children and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Sharpless was a member of the Carrollton First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Ann Sharpless Hamsley and Danny of Perry, GA; sons and daughters in law, Robert James Sharpless, Jr. of Covington, GA, A. Franklin Sharpless and Morgan of Douglasville, GA, Andrew M. Sharpless and Tica of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren; brothers, Ben Moon of Columbus and John Moon of Savannah. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. LTC Robert J. Sharpless, Sr. A graveside service and interment will be Friday, June 18 at 11 a.m.(EST) at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama with Dr. Dean Milford and Rev. Eddie Herring officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any children's medical charity of your choice.
