Pamela Yancey
House
Jun 11, 1962 — Feb 8, 2025
Pamela Annette Yancey House, 62, of Whitesburg, GA, passed away on February 8, 2025. Born in Carroll County on June 11, 1962, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe Yancey and Glenda Wilson Yancey. Pam was a loving mother, Mimi, sister, and friend.
A woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and boundless love for her family, Pam was a bright light to all who knew her. She dedicated 25 years of service to BB&T, now Truist, where she created many lasting relationships with her clients and coworkers, each of which she considered family. Upon retirement, Pam took on the role of full time Mimi. Each day "Mimi's School Bus" patiently waited in line at Whitesburg Elementary and then traveled to pick up her littlest loves at Little Buckaroos Daycare. Between the slushi's, giggles, in car movies, and sing-a-longs, her memory forever lives on through each of her precious grandbabies.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her daughters and sons-in-law, Keri and Jeremy McCormick, Lauren and Jacob Orbeck, and Abby and Ethan Hembree. Her greatest pride and joy, her grandchildren, —Hadleigh McCormick, Gracyn McCormick, Eli Orbeck, Ada McCormick, and Sadie Orbeck— will forever cherish the warmth of her embrace and the wisdom of her words. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Patty Yancey, and her sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Barry Shoemake, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitesburg Christian Church. Located at 75 West Hwy 5, Whitesburg, GA 30185. Pam's girls request that all who loved her please join them to celebrate her life during this time.
A private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the City of Hope for continued Cancer Research, www.cityofhope.org/giving or a college fund Pam created for her grandchildren at Truist Bank. Please make checks payable to Pamela House designated to grandchildren's fund.
