Mrs. Ovaline Greeson Dinning, age 92, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Mrs. Dinning was born on March 12, 1934, in Gordon County, Georgia, to the late Luke Greeson and Aline Jones Greeson.

Ovaline was a devoted homemaker who loved to cook, bake and joyfully share with her family and friends. She was also a talented seamstress who cherished her family and faithfully loved her church. Ovaline enjoyed many simple pleasures in life including trips to the beach, camping, attending ball games, and spending treasured time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Vicky Dinning, and Tony and Deborah Dinning; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Jamie French; grandchildren, Tracy and Rodnai Dinning, Melissa and Neil Merson, Patricia and Tommy Mickel, Gayle and Jeremy Butler, Brooke and Adrian French, Wesley and Melanie French, and Lee Dinning; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, JoAnn Bragg Ellis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Dinning; and brothers, R.M. Greeson and Mitchell Greeson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 12 noon at Roopville Road Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Peeples officiating.

Interment will follow in the Roopville Road Baptist Church Cemetery with her grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
