Mrs. Opal Hinesley Davis, age 92 of Carrollton died Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Mrs. Davis was born in Carroll County, Georgia on October 12, 1918, the daughter of the late H. Q. Hinesley and Alice Nixon Hinesley. She was a homemaker and member of Salem Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Maxine D. Bush and husband, Gerald Bush of Carrollton, Warren Davis, Sr., of Phoenix, Arizona, Wendy Davis Quattlebaum and husband, Jim Quattlebaum of Ahoskie, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sisters, Reba Hannah and Christine Upchurch both of Carrollton. In addition to her parents, several brothers and sisters she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde W. Davis; daughter, Tracey Davis Collins and granddaughter, Terry Oakes. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 29 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Reeves officiating. Music will be by Mrs. Cloma Chandler. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Hall, Greg Quattlebaum, Corey Quattlebaum, Warren Davis, Jr., Wendell Davis and Kiley Coursey.
