Ms. Myrl Mosley Nolen, age 93, of Bowdon, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Ms. Nolen was born in Paulding County, Georgia on February 15, 1931, the daughter of the late, Hoke Mosley and Lola Bell Adair Mosley.

Early in her career Ms. Nolen worked for Villa Rica Hosiery Mill, later keeping children in her home before retiring from Waffle House where she worked as a cook. She attended New Brooklyn Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Swanson; grandchildren, Chris Swanson, Kevin Swanson, Jason Swanson (Misty), Adam Swanson, Ann Iler; numerous great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Pat Wood (Lewis), Dot Durden; and brother, Lamar Mosley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, John William Swanson, Jr., Larry Swanson, Ronnie Swanson, John Swanson; siblings, LaJoy Mosley, Josephine Hulsey, Rudolph Mosley and Frances Head.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 1 PM from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Stephen Peeples officiating and Ann Iler giving the eulogy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 AM until the service hour.

Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Dallas, Georgia with Jesse Iler, Jordan Iler, Brandon Iler, Robert Iler and Chris Swanson serving as pallbearers.
