Obituary

Laurel Anne Nalley, born in Utica NY on May 9, 1946 and recently a resident of Carrollton Manor, passed away October 20 after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved daughter of Laurel Reynolds Suits and Russell Suits of Utica NY. After the the death of her father Laurel and her mother moved to FL, where Laurel graduated from Florida State with a BS in Marketing. Laurel and her mother moved to Carrollton where her mother married Floyd Hoskins who became a loving step-father. Laurel then graduated from West Georgia College with a degree in Nursing. She was employed by Tanner Health Systems for many years as a RN. After a stoke, she was employed by West Georgia College in the Student Center. She participated in many Arts and Crafts Shows in the area. She was a member of Gamma Alphi Chi of Florida Southern Colleges and a member of the Collegiate Chapter of the Marketing Club of FL State, a member of the American Marketing Association, Sec./Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the Needlecraft Junction of Carrollton 1971-1980. She attended Carrollton Presbyterian Church. She is survived by cousins and good friends. A thank you to the staff at Carrollton Manor for the excellent care she received these past 2 years. A memorial service will be held Saturday Nov. 7th at 11:00 am. at the Chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Jan Tolbert officiating.
