Mrs. Kate Barnes Bouchillon, age 97 of Brown Street, Carrollton died Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Mrs. Bouchillon was born in Carroll County on December 19, 1913, the daughter of the late Henry Barnes and Minnie Ann Perdue Barnes. Earlier in her life she worked at Horton's Book Store and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton. She is survived by her son, Ted Bouchillon of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Justin Bouchillon of Bethlehem, Michelle Marsh of Cumming, John Bouchillon of Carrollton; 3 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lamar Bouchillon, Jr.; son, Hank Bouchillon; brothers, Otis, Ben, Roy, Robert, J.L., Buck, Jack and sister, Clara. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Friday, August 5 from noon until 1:30 p.m. A graveside service and interment will be Friday, August 5 at 2 p.m. at the Carrollton City Cemetery with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be Kevin Rourke, Steven Knight, Justin Bouchillon, John Marsh, Chris Bass and John Bouchillon.
