Mrs. Irene Gilbert Westbrook, age 82 of Carrollton, Georgia died Friday, August 13, 2021. Mrs. Westbrook was born in Unadilla, Georgia on January 22, 1939, the daughter of the late Henry Clayton Gilbert and Eunice Ingram Gilbert. She was retired medical billing clerk, faithful servant at Open Hands United Christian Ministry and a member of the Carrollton Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her sons, Clay Westbrook of Maryland, Greg Westbrook of Texas; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Josephine Alden and brother, James Gilbert. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Brunson Westbrook and several brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday, August 16 from 12noon until 2 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday, August 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Mary Anne Taylor officiating.
