Mrs. Hattie Etna Daniel Johnson, age 102, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Sumter County, Georgia on May 17, 1918, the daughter of the late William W. Daniel and Olia Stewart Daniel. Mrs. Johnson taught school for many years in the Schley County School System. Of all her jobs, her favorite was teaching Adult Literacy for the Carrollton Housing Authority. She graduated from Georgia Southwestern College, Americus, GA and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Emily Johnson of Hiram, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Bette and Charles Stuckey of Carrollton, Coleen Knowles also of Carrollton; brother-in-law, Charley (Pat) Johnson of Milledgeville, GA; grandchildren, Ginny (Kevin) Parker, Nick (Kim) Harmon, Gabe Harmon, Collin Knowles, Chris (Marcia) Gray, Scott (Wendy) Gray, Kim (Kevin) Pilman and Angie (Ed) Rees; 12 great great grandchildren and two great great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Colon Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Nancie and Al L'Heureux; brother, William Daniel; sisters, Mary Lee Adams, Annie Dozier and Johnnie Mae Kelley.
A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 2p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Gray officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Inurnment will be in Ellaville Cemetery in Ellaville, GA on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 1 p.m.
