Mrs. Billie Joyce Huckeba, age 70 of North Ave., Carrollton died Thursday, April 26, 2012. Mrs. Huckeba was born in Graham, Alabama on June 22, 1941, the daughter of the late George Willie "Bill" Hornsby and Lillian Gibbs Hornsby. She had worked in the Cotton Mill in LaGrange, at Southwire and Thomasson Printing. Mrs. Huckeba was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alabama having been baptized at the age of 9. Survivors include her husband, Hugh Lee Huckeba, Sr.; sons, Hugh Lee Huckeba, Jr. of Bremen, Michael A. Huckeba of Carrollton; sisters, Margaret Morris of Buchanan and Linda Bowling of Bremen. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Stephens. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. David Huckeba officiating. Pallbearers will be David Kite, Keith Bowling, Sammy Bowling, Ray Morris, Mark Muse and Tommy Huckeba. Interment will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery.
