Mr. Harrell Harrison, age 73, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024. He was born on the very same day May 11, 1951 in Carroll County to the late Raymond Harrison, Sr. and Christine Boston Harrison.
Harrell began his work life at an early age of 14, delivering beverages for the Coca Cola Bottling Plant, demonstrating a strong work ethic from the start. His entrepreneurial spirit later led him to own H&H Furniture Store and, more recently the manager for AAA Carwash. Beyond his business ventures, Harrell found joy in simple pleasures like planting flowers and playing checkers, a game he cherished since childhood. However, his greatest fulfillment came from helping others, offering encouragement, and serving his Lord. He was a devoted member and deacon at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Harrell Harrison's life was marked by diligence, generosity, and unwavering faith, leaving an indelible impact on all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
His legacy will be carried on by his loving family: daughters and son-in-law, Lashana Thomas, Sonja and Latrell Farley; son and daughter-in-law, Barnard and Tammy Harrison; cherished grandchildren, Martez Brown, Chyna Farley, Kyron Thomas, Tyesha Harrison, and Glenn Stephens; his sister, Elouise Echols; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Phyllis Harrison, JC and Rosa Harrison; sister-in-law, Maryann Harrison; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Harrell was preceded in death by his daughter Greta Brown; brothers, Raymond Harrison, Jr., George Harrison, Jackie Harrison; and brother-in-law, David Echols.
A viewing for Mr. Harrell Harrison will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 11 AM to 7 PM at Almon Funeral Home.
Funeral service to celebrate his life will be conducted on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2 PM at Roopville Road Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will include Nick McCoy, Joseph Harrison, Antonio McCoy, Talandis Harrison, Chris Harrison, and Alonzo Harrison. Flower girls will be Sarah Harrison, Latasha Harrison, Linda Nash, Eyvonne Hill, Kimberly Harrison, Kim Brown, and Kina Alexander.
