Mr. Charles Ronald "Ronnie" Vaughn, age 84, of Roopville, Georgia passed away Friday, November 15, 2019. Mr. Vaughn was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 21, 1935, the son of the late Ernest W. Vaughn and Edna Lottie Phillips Vaughn. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and during his working career he was owner and operator of Carrollton Safe and Lock. He was a member of Leland Masonic Lodge in Mableton, Georgia and Roopville United Methodist Church. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Football Fan, enjoyed woodworking, western tv shows, was a hard worker and truly loved his family. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jonnie Vaughn; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Tony Andrews of College Park; son, Ron Vaughn of Carrollton; granddaughter, Haley Vaughn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Jerry Williamson, Mary Butterworth, Cheryl and Calvin Hudson and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; one sister and daughter-in-law, Mashelle Vaughn. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Sunday from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Mr. Tony Andrews and Mr. Jerry Williamson officiating. Private family interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, Georgia on Monday, November 18, 2019.
