Mrs. Monzelle Cook Cooper, age 91 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Carroll County, Georgia on September 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Willie Oren "W.O." Cook and Myrtie Jones Cook.
She was a member of the 1950 graduating class of Whitesburg High School. Early in her career, she worked for Barnes Freight Lines in Carrollton. She later worked in the office of Arnold Services in Whitesburg, and eventually served as Office Manager for Wellington Mills in Whitesburg. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Bonnie Cooper, Alan and Debbie Cooper; sisters, Telva Cook Wood, Rachel Cook Noles; grandchildren, Susan Westendorf, Pam Cooper, Cathy Cooper, Rob Cooper, Ryan Barnett; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Paul Grant Cooper; brothers, Aaron Cook, Rayford Cook and Hoy Cook.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday, February 22 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2 pm at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Jones officiating.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Hollingsworth, Ryan Barnett, Rob Cooper, Chris Dyer, Kim Cook, and Jerry Wood.
Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
