Mrs. Melissa H. Walls, age 62, of Roopville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026.

Mrs. Walls was born on July 28, 1964, in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Barbara Webb Hutchens and the late Tommy Hutchens.

Melissa retired from UPS after 35 years of dedicated service, where she served as a manager. Throughout her career, she was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to those with whom she worked.

Melissa had a genuine appreciation for the simple joys of life. She loved traveling, birdwatching, tending to flowers, and spending time with animals. She especially enjoyed the beauty of nature and the peaceful moments it provided. An active member of the "Roopville Ramblers," Melissa looked forward to gathering with friends several times a week for walks around the city of Roopville. These outings were more than just exercise; they were opportunities to enjoy friendship, fellowship, and the community she called home.

Above all, Melissa treasured her family. She found her greatest happiness in the time spent with those she loved, creating memories that will forever be cherished. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones will leave a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mrs. Walls is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Wesley Walls; her mother, Barbara Webb Hutchens; brother and sister-in-law, William Chandler and Kimberly Hutchens; and cousin, Elizabeth Vorhoff.
