Mrs. Melanie H. Crenshaw, age 50 of Newnan, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Mrs. Crenshaw was born in Carrollton, Georgia on September 18, 1963, the daughter of Ginger Creech Hay and the late David Hay, Sr. Mrs. Crenshaw was a school teacher at Northside Elementary. Survivors include her daughters, Carrielee Crenshaw and Karen Crenshaw both of Newnan; brother and sister-in-law, David and Kimberly Hay, Jr. of Mableton, GA; mother, Ginger C. Hay. Besides her father she was preceded in death by her husband David Crenshaw. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Richardson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Melanie Crenshaw Children's Education Fund, 1239 Grand View Drive, Mableton, GA 30126.
