Max was born in Carrollton, Georgia on August 14, 1932, the son of the late Grady Harper and Mary Nell Pesnall Harper. He retired as a technician from Bellsouth and was of the Christian faith. Survivors include his granddaughter and husband, Dawn and Paul Lewis of Villa Rica; grandson, Dusty Griffin of Atlanta and 4 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Scott Harper and daughter, Brenda H. Green. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Thursday from 12 noon until the service hour. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Min. Allen Howard officiating. Pallbearers will be Paul Lewis, Dusty Griffin and Matt Howard.
