Mrs. Mattie Sue Butler Towler, age 79, of Carrollton, Georgia died Thursday, November 26, 2020. Mrs. Towler was born in Douglas County, Georgia on November 20, 1941, the daughter of the late Larkin Doc Butler and Ruth Patterson Butler. She was retired executive housekeeper with Hampton Inn and of the Church of God faith. Survivors include her daughter, Rita Smith of Temple, daughter and daughter-in-law, Vicky and Kimberly Towler of Roanoke, Alabama; son, Bobby Dean Towler, Jr. of Carrollton; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother, Sopher Butler of Douglasville; sisters, Margaret Rakes of Siler City, North Carolina and Gayle Canary of Wedowee, Alabama. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Towler, Sr.; brothers, YC Butler, Oscar Butler and Herman Butler. A graveside service and interment will be Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 11a.m.(EST) at Randolph Memory Gardens with Pastor Curtis Costley officiating.
