Mrs. Mary Buttram Wright, age 80 of Carrollton, Georgia died Friday, January 29, 2016. Mrs. Wright was born in Telfair County, Georgia on April 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Enoch Buttram and Mary Varnedoe Buttram. She was retired seamstress having worked for Sewell Manufactory and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Carol Wright of Carrollton, Charlie and Lisa Wright of Carrollton, Rodney Wright of Carrollton; brothers, Thomas Buttram, Joel Buttram, George Buttram; grandchildren, Andrea Wright Maney, Joseph Vines, Kristen (Joey) Merrifield, Rachel (Broderick) Snoddy, Duane (Kelsey) Wright, Amanda Wright, Dylan (Kelsey) Wright and great grandson, Adam Maney. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Adam Wright; sisters, Beatrice Phillips, Wenona Buttram and brother, Herbert Buttram. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Tony McManus officiating. Pallbearers will be in Joseph Vines, Duane Wright, Dylan Wright, Greg Stephens, Roger Phillips and Richard Buttram. Interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
