Mary Elizabeth Yoder Taylor was born on August 24, 1958, in Orlando, Florida. She passed peacefully on February 16, 2026, at her son's home in Johns Creek, Georgia, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.

Mary was truly the life of the party and was loved by many. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and vibrant spirit drew people in. She spent many years serving the Town of Medley, where she built a long and meaningful career as a dedicated public servant. She was admired and adored by colleagues and residents alike.

Mary embraced life fully. She loved traveling, dining out, shopping, beauty, fashion, and the beach and boating in Miami, where she lived for more than 60 years. She was always on the go, always ready for the next adventure, and happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

Mary is survived by her son, Christopher David Taylor Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Elissa Lee Taylor (Bitzer); and her beloved grandchildren, Elynn Grace Taylor, Theodore Gibson Taylor, and Everly Hope Taylor. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher David Taylor Sr.; her grandson, Christopher David Taylor III; her mother, Dorothy Florence (Cobb) Yoder; her father, Russell Howard Yoder; her brother, Russell Howard Yoder Jr.; and her sister, Phoebe Yoder Foster, who passed just three days before her.

A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, April 4th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne, Florida.

Mary's passing followed a significant spinal cord injury sustained in a fall. The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care and guidance provided by the extraordinary staff at the Shepherd Center Rehabilitation Hospital, whose support made it possible for Mary to be cared for at home by her family with dignity and peace.
