Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Chaney Hendrix, age 77, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

Mrs. Hendrix was born in Carroll County, Georgia on March 21, 1946, the daughter of the late Buck Chaney and Dovie Eason Chaney. She was retired cook and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard & Kim Johnson, Beverly & Chris Tilley, Elizabeth & Jim Hall, William "Bill" Hendrix; grandchildren, Georgia Johnson, Shandi Willis, Nicholas Tilley, Mary Justin Johnson, Aidan Hall; great grandchildren, Christopher & Parker Tilley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John Chaney, Jerry Chaney, Frances Payne and Virginia Allen.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 1 PM from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 AM until the service hour.

Interment will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Johnny Craft, Nicholas Tilley, Aidan Hall, Richard Johnson, Bill Hendrix and Jim Hall serving as pallbearers.
