Mary Ann Cheatwood, age 70, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Born on August 8, 1954, in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, Mary was the daughter of the late Carmen Phyllis Lumadue Bloom. She graduated from West Branch High School in Pennsylvania and later worked as a waitress.

Mary found joy in simple pleasures—tending to her roses and working in the yard brought her peace until her health declined. She cherished time spent with her granddaughter and great-grandsons and maintained a close bond with her sister Joann through frequent phone calls across the miles.

She is survived by her son, William "Bill" James Bloom; one granddaughter; three great-grandsons; sisters, Joann Cantolina and Janet Kay Bloom; brothers, Richard Lee Bloom (Wanda), Michael Lee Bloom (Carla), and Paul Edward Bloom; and her uncle, Lee Lumadue. Mary also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis Jean Knapp; brother-in-law, James Cantolina; and maternal grandparents Mary Knee Lumadue and Edward Lee Lumadue.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home.
