Mrs. Martha J. Enfield age 89, of Whitesburg, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013. Mrs. Enfield was born in Whitesburg, GA on April 8, 1924, the daughter of the late Earnest Durrett and Mattie Lou Jennings Durrett. She was a homemaker and a member of Whitesburg United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Jiles; son, Allen Enfield both of Whitesburg; granddaughters, Joy and David Dukes, Lisa Jiles and Mike Conner; great grandchildren, Amber Ridgeway, Tyler Dukes, Sidney Jiles and Harley Craft; great great grandchildren, Makennah Ridgeway, Savannah Ridgeway and Gracie Ridgeway; brother, Virlyn Durrett of Rome, GA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Enfield; sister, Marian Stogner and brother, Eugene Durrett. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 17 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hearn officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Conner, David Dukes, Tyler Dukes, Sidney Jiles, Drid Harper and Brent Durrett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Paul's Methodist Church Cemetery.
