Marie Harrington Harper, age 81, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

Born on September 15, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Charles Maxwell and Clara Swanson Maxwell. A devoted homemaker, Marie lovingly raised two children and dedicated her life to her family. She had a passion for genealogy and proudly traced her husband's family lineage back 29 generations. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching Roy Rogers westerns.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Travis Gulledge; her son, Jerry "Butch" Harper, Jr.; grandchildren, Tony Gulledge, Zachary Harper, and Mitchell Harper; great-granddaughter, Izabella Abaunza; and bonus great-granddaughter, Crimson Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Patrick Harper, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Debi Harper; three brothers; and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

A celebration of Marie's life will be held at a later date.
