Margarita Venegas de Emmons Mrs. Margarita Emmons, age 98 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013. Mrs. Emmons was born in Ubaté, Colombia on May 5, 1915, the daughter of the late Eduardo Venegas Saenz and Margarita Leyva de Venegas. She lived and worked in Colombia until 1990 when she decided to move and call Georgia home. She very much enjoyed being close to her family and seeing her grandchildren grow. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Carlos and Susan Emmons of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Chelsea Emmons, Jack Emmons both of Villa Rica; sister, Cecilia Venegas de Stipanovic of Bogotá, Colombia. Besides her parents and five siblings, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Irving Emmons. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Monday, December 23 at 10 a.m. with Father Rafael Carballo officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Building Fund, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 210 Old Center Point Road, Carrollton, Georgia 30117 or The Stewart House Chapel Fund, The Stewart House, 102 South Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117.
